Understanding money should feel clear, not overwhelming.

This Global Accessibility Awareness Day is a reminder of how important it is that financial information is easy to understand and accessible to everyone.

Many people can find financial information difficult to engage with. How it's written, presented or explained can affect how confident someone feels asking questions, weighing up options or making decisions about their money.

In financial planning, accessibility often starts with clear language. That means explaining things simply, avoiding jargon and offering information in different formats. It also means recognising that people’s needs and preferences can change over time.

When financial information is easier to understand, it can help people feel more informed, included and in control of their financial decisions.

Everyone’s situation is different. Speaking with an adviser can help you explore your options in a way that reflects your individual needs and circumstances.

When life starts moving faster, money can quietly feel harder to keep on top of.

As your career develops, family life changes or new milestones appear, your finances can begin to feel more complicated. What once felt straightforward may now come with more questions and more responsibility.

Financial planning isn’t about reacting to everything happening right now. It’s about helping you understand where you’re heading and what you might need along the way. It can include thinking ahead to retirement, making sense of workplace pensions, or considering how to protect the people who rely on you.

You don’t have to work everything out at once to start feeling clearer about where you’re heading. Taking a step back to look at the bigger picture can help you feel more in control and less overwhelmed. A well thought through plan can bring reassurance, helping today’s decisions feel more connected to what matters to you long term.

If your life has changed recently, or you feel like your finances deserve a little more attention, having a conversation about the bigger picture could be a helpful place to start.

Feeling unsure about investing is more common than you might think.

Markets can seem complex and the language unfamiliar. News headlines can add to the uncertainty.

Confidence can often matter as much as money. Taking time to understand what you're doing can make investing feel more manageable.

You don't need to know everything at once. Learning gradually and taking small, considered steps can help you move forward with confidence.

If you’d like guidance at your own pace, I’m here to help.

Thank you so much to the lovely women who came along to Friday afternoon’s Financial Freedom Workshop 💛

It turned into such an open, honest and empowering session. We explored our relationship with money and some of the beliefs and emotions many of us carry around it — from fear and vulnerability, to confidence, security and self-worth — and how these can quietly influence our financial decisions over time.

We also explored what “financial freedom” means on an individual level, because it looks different for everyone. For some it’s peace of mind, for others it’s flexibility, security, choice, time or simply feeling more in control of their future.

Together we looked at the “Wheel of Freedom” and the different areas that can contribute towards financial wellbeing, alongside the importance of building habits and plans that align with our personal goals and values.

I absolutely loved the openness in the room and the willingness everyone had to reflect, share and support one another 🫶

Thank you again for bringing such lovely energy to the workshop.

Please note the workshop was educational in nature and did not include individual financial advice.

Leigh 💛

Big moments rarely happen by chance. As the FA Cup reaches its final stages, preparation and teamwork are what help get teams to a final.

Financial planning works in a similar way. It's not about predicting everything. It's about knowing what matters and having a strategy that can adapt when life changes.

There'll always be surprises, but the right support can make those moments feel more manageable.

If you’d like to talk about how a plan could support your goals, get in touch.

What is PruFund in plain English?

When you invest, markets can move up and down from day to day. For some people, those short term swings can feel uncomfortable.

PruFund aims to give you a steadier experience. Instead of reacting to every daily market change, it focuses on growing your money over time and helping smooth some of the bumps along the way.

It does this by investing across a wide mix of assets, keeping its focus on the medium to long term and using a built in approach that helps reduce how sharply values move from one day to the next.

It isn’t designed to remove risk entirely. The value of investments can go down as well as up and you may get back less than you invested. But it aims to create a more consistent journey for people who prefer growth with less of the day to day movement.

If you’ve heard of PruFund but aren’t sure how it works or whether it could be right for you, I’m always happy to talk it through in a clear, straightforward way.

During Mental Health Awareness Week, it is a good moment to pause and think about what weighs on your mind. When life feels busy, your mind rarely gets a chance to switch off. Even when things seem fine, unanswered money questions can weigh quietly in the background.

Pensions, protection, future plans. They're easy to postpone, especially when everyday costs feel high. Taking action doesn't have to mean big changes. Sometimes the first step is simply talking things through.

A clearer view can ease worry and help you feel more in control of what comes next.
If a conversation would bring reassurance, feel free to get in touch.

Have you ever wondered how confident your children or grandchildren feel about money?

It’s easy for spending to feel effortless these days, especially when payments happen with a tap or a click. For children or grandchildren, money can feel abstract unless they’re given chances to understand it in everyday life.

Helping children and grandchildren build healthy money habits often starts small. Simple experiences can make a real difference to how they learn to value and manage money over time.

That might be giving pocket money and talking about saving. It could be involving them in everyday spending decisions, or explaining why choices are made when you’re out shopping. Children and grandchildren often learn as much from what they see as what they’re told.

These early conversations can help them feel more confident and capable as they grow. They can also lay the foundations for making thoughtful decisions later in life, including when it comes to their own finances or any money they may inherit in the future.

If you’ve been thinking about how money is talked about at home, taking a little time to explore those conversations could be a positive place to begin.
