Companies House has launched a major compliance crackdown targeting unverified directors and Persons of Significant Control (PSCs) under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023 (ECCTA).

✉️ Check Your Inbox: Companies House is actively emailing directors and PSCs who have not yet completed their mandatory Identity Verification (IDV).
🔑 11-Digit Personal Code: Every verified director and PSC receives an 11-digit Personal Code. You will need to locate and save this code within your account.
⚠️ Don't Overlook the PSC Step: Non-compliance is particularly high among PSCs. If you serve as both a Director and a PSC for a company, a Personal Code is required for each role.
🚫 Rejection of Filings (Late 2026 Deadline): By late 2026, Companies House will reject any statutory filings (such as confirmation statements and accounts) submitted by unverified individuals or agents who are not registered Authorised Corporate Service Providers (ACSPs).
