So, yesterday was a first birthday for 🥳🎉

What a year it’s been and what a crazy week…

Moving house whilst trying to keep things running smoothly; boxes after boxes… turns out a lack of internet is proving more disruptive than if we didn’t have water!

As I reflect on year 1️⃣ in business, it has been an incredible rollercoaster with some amazing highs, some hard truths, and plenty of lessons learned.

I heard another advisor say recently, if you just look after your clients then the rest will come and I couldn’t agree more. Just try to do the best you can for people and that won’t be lost on them.

Thank you to all the wonderful clients who have trusted me with their future.

Year one was always going to be about trying to build a solid foundation.

Year two is about targeted growth.

A key area of focus moving forward is to work more and more with families who have disabled children or children with additional needs. This is an area of tremendous interest to me for both professional and personal reasons.

I’m incredibly proud of what I’m building but also very lucky to have wonderfully supportive friends, family, and life partner (Cc ) 🙌🏻

Finally, a huge thank you to my dad - we could not have moved this week without you. For anyone who knows my dad it won’t surprise you, for those who don’t; the man is a machine 💪🏻

I’m a Yorkshireman, very down to earth (well, I think I am 😂) and I like a chinwag… I genuinely think strangers are friends you haven’t met yet!

I live in Leeds with my wonderful fiancé . We’re currently in the process of moving house 🏠 and we’re getting hitched in July… it’s gonna be a busy year!

I have a French name yet no French family or ancestry 🇫🇷

Instead of just managing investments, it focuses on personal objectives, such as retiring early, trips of a lifetime, or gifting money. This approach will provide clarity, security, and confidence in your future.

Only a lifestyle financial planner can give you this clarity, in my opinion!

Today marks the last day and ‘wrap up’ session with the wonderful people at Acast… I’m a little lost for words (those who know me well, I like a natter, so it’s rare 😂) but here are some words…

When I departed the world 🌎 of media for the world 🌍 of financial planning, I swapped money and spreadsheets for… money and spreadsheets. But, importantly, I swapped the world I knew for a new venture; a business of one, leaving the employed world to carve my own path and with a tremendous amount of excitement but also a lot of fear 😧

I had a superb existing network to potentially engage with as I moved into personal wealth management… but I won’t lie, people weren’t exactly banging my door down (like I may have naively, initially thought)

Acast. Just, wow. What an amazing organisation full of wonderful people… it doesn’t surprise me when I see them going from strength to strength 💪🏻

They invited me in, gave me time and energy, and helped me at such a crucial point in my business building journey. To say I’m incredibly grateful is an understatement.

Credit to the business for acknowledging that financial wellbeing matters, to provide some context:
🔹 39% of adults (20.3 million) don’t feel confident managing their money.

I’ve build some incredible connections that I’m looking forward to working with for many years to come!
