Limited company clients waiting on CIS repayments the hold up is with HMRC due to recent strikes and a backlog of work/mail.

The link below is from an accounting forum, the delays are across the board and unfortunately outwith my control.

Any other tax agents hitting a brick wall on company CIS refunds .. submitted in April but all we keep getting is they will not be looked at or processed

We finally have a meeting room 😁 (nearly 3 months later after a lot of stress and tears!).

We are contacting all clients today that we haven't received any paperwork for their 2023/24 self-assessment tax returns yet.

We still have over 80 returns to file by 31st January, so time is running out.

The deadline to forward your paperwork on to us is Friday 17th January, we won't be accepting any paperwork after this date and your tax return is your own responsibility to ensure it gets submitted on time to HMRC (HMRC send you several reminders to file your tax return throughout the year, so no excuses).

All paperwork that we've received is currently in progress and we'll be in touch with clients over the next few days.

We're also not holding any other meetings until February now.
