On Saturday, Hannah took part in the Cross Bay Walk from Arnside to Grange-over-Sands in support of the Quilter Foundation.

A big thank you to Annabel Lumsden and Harvinder Rathore for organising such a fantastic event. It was great to spend time with professionals from TP Financial Solutions, Wright & Lord Solicitors, and Quilter Cheviot, while raising money for an important cause.

The day was rounded off perfectly with some delicious homemade food from Geeta.

Chris and Theo recently had the pleasure of attending a flight simulator experience at Runway Flight Simulators Ltd, thanks to Mark Colman from Leonard Curtis.

From flying a Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 to taking control of a Spitfire and the iconic Vulcan B.2, the day was packed with challenges, learning experiences, and plenty of friendly competition.

It was a great opportunity to connect with other professionals, enjoy some healthy competition, and experience firsthand the skill and precision required in aviation.

Lovely to attend Oglethorpe Sturton & Gillibrand Solicitors' Summer Garden Party. Despite the unpredictable weather, we still managed to get outside and make the most of the evening!

It was great to catch up with fellow professionals from across the region and equally nice to meet some new faces. Always a pleasure to connect, share ideas, and strengthen relationships within our local business community.

Last night, Chris and Damien were delighted to attend Handelsbanken’s Midsummer event at Lancaster Castle.

A fantastic evening celebrating the long-standing Swedish Midsummer tradition of coming together to welcome the summer season, with great company, drinks, canapés, and refreshments from Atkinson's Coffee.

It was also a pleasure to hear from guest speaker Martin Bjornberg, UK Chief Financial Officer at Handelsbanken, and to catch up with fellow professionals throughout the evening.

Thank you to Handelsbanken for hosting such an enjoyable and well-organised event in a wonderful setting.

Eliza’s 2026 season is well underway. She has just secured her best result against a strong field of 11-year-old boys in the North, finishing 4th at the recent Platt Fields Manchester regional.

June will be an important month, not only is it rounds 5 and 6 of the Lloyds Bank National Series at Gosport on the 13th and 14th, but then she heads to Sarrians BMX in the South of France for the 2026 European Championships which is taking place between the 26-28th June.

Eliza will be defending her European plate (she is currently E8) on her 20” race bike and is also entered in the 9-12 Female Cruiser category.

Chris and Damien had a great start to the morning at the Lancaster & Morecambe Chamber of Commerce Breakfast Networking Event hosted by Pye Motors.

With 50+ attendees, the 60-second pitches gave a really good snapshot of the range of businesses in the room and made for a lively and productive start to the day.

It was great to catch up with Ian Fielding, Jon Powell, James Forrest, Graham White, Charlotte Ellwood, David Park and Heather Crammond as well as making a few new connections.

Thanks to the Chamber for a well-run and welcoming event.

A busy weekend of sport and fundraising at Waters and Atkinson Chartered Accountants!

Friday saw Theo and Leo attend the St John's Hospice Annual Charity Golf Day at Silverdale Golf Club, alongside David Park and Russell Partington. The day included a fantastic round of golf on one of North Lancashire’s most scenic courses followed by an evening charity auction, all in aid of St John’s Hospice, supporting the China Trek in September.

At the weekend, Fatties Yanited secured a win against Mash FC, raising an incredible £1,254 for St John’s Hospice, a brilliant achievement both on and off the pitch!

To round things off, a big thank you to Harrison Drury Solicitors for inviting Chris, Hannah, and Laura to curling at The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre which was a fun way to finish a packed and positive few days.

Amazing to see so much support for such a fantastic cause.

Chris and Hannah had a great time attending today’s Lancaster Professionals Lunch Club. It was a good opportunity to catch up with familiar faces, meet new contacts, and build valuable connections within the local professional community.

This afternoon, Hannah attended Tarnia and Annabel’s ‘Connecting Professionals’ networking lunch at the Beach Café in Morecambe.

It was a fantastic event, bringing together professionals from across the region.

It was great to catch up with familiar faces and build new connections, with a fun hands-on kimchi-making session adding something a bit different.
