UPDATE

We genuinely want to thank everyone for the messages of support we have had from our Community. It has actually felt quite ‘humbling & touch’

Our Plant Room is being restored & the smell of smoke is slowly starting to go. I do apologise to everyone who works here & is visiting our Offices for the conditions but I am doing what I can

As far as Northern PowerGrid taking Responsibility for the consequences of their actions / cable – They have not even started a conversation with us & have effectively ‘Closed’ our Complaint

We are still on a Generator & the works for a permanent connection are starting on Monday. This means on Monday we have Traffic lights again & down to one lane for a couple of days. This means slow traffic & delays for the School Runs / Work etc

Sunderland Council, who issue the ‘Permit’ have been very helpful & have been out to see me. They didn’t want them to do this Monday. They wanted them to do this over the weekend as it would have been less disruption for the Community

However, Northern PowerGrid who ‘allegedly pride themselves on Customer Service, told Sunderland Council, ‘They didn’t have the Resources’

We have had one brief chat on Monday with someone from Northern Powergrid
We have been told the internal issues are something we have to sort out even though their cable set fire to our building

They have taken no action or provided us with any support

We do believe they should take responsibility for the consequences that their failed cable has caused

Their Customer Service is not even good enough to be called disgraceful & disrespectful. ‼️
