COVID-19: An update from EV Accountants
EV Accountants made the decision last week to close our offices and Friday 20th March 2020 was the last working day in the office. At present, we are unable to advise when the office will reopen, but we will continue to monitor the situation and make a decision based on the information we get from the media. We have also made the decision as many businesses have to suspend business travel, therefore any meetings that are booked will be postponed until further notice.
As you will appreciate, the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is a fast moving and unprecedented situation and one that we are monitoring very carefully. As we continue to do this, we want to reassure you that we are well prepared for such incidents and have made plans to ensure our services can continue with minimal interruption and that any impact is controlled in the most efficient way possible.
Our systems and processes have been designed and developed for service continuity. All of our staff have the facility to work remotely and we are able to maintain our usual working pattern. Our priority is to protect our colleagues, clients and suppliers and to provide continuity of service where possible. We have a robust Business Continuity Plan in place to ensure the minimum interruption to our clients and our continued service to them.
As our offices are closed, the telephone lines will not be answered. However, we have a voicemail system in place and any messages received will be monitored and actioned as necessary. We are also planning to monitor post being received to the office and will action anything that is received accordingly.
We know the current situation is severely impacting all businesses in different ways and we will therefore endeavour to advise you and help you in any way we can.
Finally, we would like to extend our best wishes to any of you who have been affected by COVID-19 with regards to your friends or family and to thank all the workers of the NHS and other vitual services that are continuing to work at their own risk to help others.
Thank you for your patience at this difficult time.
