Stop tolerating a sh*t service from your suppliers!

Let’s be real - running a business is hard enough without dealing with suppliers who don’t deliver.

Whether it’s your marketing agency, your accountant, or your coach, you deserve top tier service that helps your business grow, not hold it back.

Here’s my advice:

✔️ If you’re not getting the service you believe you should, don’t stay quiet. Have a direct chat with them. Tell them what’s not working and give them a chance to fix it.

✔️ If nothing changes? Stop wasting time and find a new supplier. Your business deserves better than mediocrity.

Tolerating poor service doesn’t just cost you money - it costs you time, energy, and progress. The right suppliers should feel like partners, not obstacles.

So, ask yourself:

❓ Are you putting up with a supplier who isn’t delivering?

❓ Have you been avoiding that tough conversation?

Don’t let it drag on for months.

✔️ Done-for-you options – Instead of DIY, some clients want the full package⁠

✔️ VIP or subscription services – Give priority access for a monthly or annual fee⁠

Holidays. Sick Days. Late Payments. Tax Rises. Supply Costs.

All of these can shake up your business.

All of these can throw you off course.

But none of these should catch you off guard.

Most business owners don’t struggle because of the problem itself.

They struggle because they didn’t see it coming. They react instead of prepare.

And reacting costs money, time, and sanity.

You can’t predict everything, but you can have a plan and systems and processes in place.

Ask yourself: what are the 10 biggest things that could go wrong in your business? Do you have a plan / process for them?

If not, start with these:

🚨 You or a key team member is suddenly too sick to work. Who steps in? What processes need to be in place?

🚨 A client misses their payment deadline (again). What’s your process for chasing payments?

🚨 Your biggest supplier shuts down overnight. Do you have a backup?

🚨 Your business bank account is frozen, and payroll is due. Do you have emergency funds or a second account?

🚨 Your system gets hacked, and customer data is at risk. What happens next?

This isn’t about fear, it’s about being in control.

You wouldn’t sail without a life jacket, so why run a business without a contingency plan?

Be prepared. Stay ahead. Keep your business strong.

Too many business owners spend months perfecting their business plan, only to let it sit in a drawer gathering dust.

Here’s the truth: ex*****on is what turns plans into results.

A business plan without action is like owning a map but never starting the journey.

Instead of chasing perfection, focus on:

✔️ Taking small, consistent steps forward

✔️ Revisiting and updating your plan as you go

✔️ Measuring progress and adapting to what works

This is exactly why I’m reluctant to offer a Business Roadmap or Financial Forecasting Service without ongoing monthly or quarterly check-ins.

Why? Because too often, you’ll create the plan or forecast, and then… it gets forgotten. It sits unused while your business stays stuck.

If you’re not going to actively use the roadmap or forecast to grow your business, then why invest the time and money? Planning only works if you’re serious and committed to following through.

So, ask yourself: Do you treat your business plan as a guide or just another document?

When you compete on price, you’re telling your customers that the value you bring isn’t worth paying full price for. Worse, you’re training them to expect discounts every time.

Here’s what discounting actually does to your business:

❌ Shrinks your profit margins.

❌ Devalues your product or service.

❌ Attracts customers who will leave the moment someone offers a cheaper deal.

Instead of cutting prices, focus on:

✔️ Delivering more value.

✔️ Standing out with your expertise.

✔️ Building relationships with customers who understand quality over cost.

Your ideal customers aren’t looking for the cheapest option - they’re looking for the best solution. Be that solution.
