Many years ago when I was where you are, landing an Accounting role was difficult..

Now many years on, wanted to observe if the same challenges are still here today.

Would it be OK, AAT Level 3 or 4 have your responses to these 2 questions:

Firstly, I'm thankful to be blessed with good health.

I heard it said that "Life will give you what you fight for, or what you accept" so your choice.

I choose to fight for the life I want and that is living my purpose. For me, living my purpose is helping those that want my help in the area I'm specialised in.

So, life decisions can appear difficult but can be very rewarding.

Happy Tuesday, Where has the year gone??

It seems like only yesterday, I was saying happy new year to family and friends.

As we approach the sunset of 2024, which seem to have passed like a blink of an eye, how important it is to focus on what we want from life. This could be to learn new skills, spend more time with loved ones or hit personal goals.

Time is not replaceable, which is why working with clients that are a joy makes helping them so easy and much more worthwhile.

Happy Tuesday.
I really enjoy what I do for a living, which is different from my profession. My profession is in accountancy and finance.

What I do for a living is use these skills to help my clients live a fuller life now, whilst planning for their future. So, a what to do now and legacy approach.

Each day when I get to the office, I ask myself who am I helping today. This question speaks to my purpose. When you have discovered your purpose, work will cease, and personal fulfilment begins.

Starting out...
When I first started Harris Associates it was to provide accounting services to clients that required accounting services. That was way back in 2009..

Along my 15 year journey, found out clients don't want an accountant; they want a business partner who can help them achieve their goals on their yellow brick business road to Oz.
I have fewer clients now, but serve them at a higher-value level, which has not rocked my bottom line.

So, have made the switch to showing sole owner accounting firms to use this modern approach framework, they can operate in the same way to improve the service they deliver to clients for fun and profit.

The valuable lesson for me was to listen to what clients really want from their Accountant and then give it to them.
