Do you have a ? If so, make sure you reconcile the loan account for your year end by posting the interest from your loan statements. The balance of the loan in your accounting software should agree to the balance on the statement from the bank.

You should check your bank balances regularly in your accounting software, even if you use bank feeds.

At the end of each month or quarter and definitely at the year end, make sure the balance on your software agrees to the actual bank balance. This will make sure that every transaction has been recorded.
