Friendly Reminder - Self Assessment Payment Due 31 July!!!

If you're self-employed or complete a Self Assessment tax return, don't forget that your second Payment on Account for the 2025/26 tax year is due by 31 July 2026.

💷 Missing the deadline could result in:
• Interest being charged on late payments.
• Your tax account falling into arrears.

Companies House are still experiencing issues with their webfiling service - here is the latest update!

❗Update (Tuesday 30 June): All services are available and processing times have returned to normal, including same day transactions.

Good news for anyone claiming mileage!

HMRC have upped the rate from 45p per mile, for the first 10,000 miles, to 55p mile from the beginning of this tax year (2026/27)!

As they only announced this in May, HMRC have agreed that claims can be backdated to 6th April 🥳

This could potentially mean that employees and self-employed individuals can claim up to an additional £1000 worth of expenses, saving them tax!

Don't forget that the tax you pay on dividends will go up by 2% from 6th April this year, and so depending on your circumstances, you could save money by withdrawing profit from your Ltd Company before this date.
