I started my career with an honours degree in Engineering and a PGCE both from the University of Birmingham. In my thirties and while working as a middle leader in secondary schools I started planning for my long-term financial goals while passing the leadership qualification (NPQML). I invested for long term growth, reading whatever I could. Investing, modelling and planning fast became a passion. This hobby soon led to tax, retirement, estate planning and after ~20 years working as a physics teacher, I decided on a career change to a financial planner. I completed my financial qualifications at SJP gaining my Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning w/ the Chartered Insurance Institute. I also enjoy spending time with my partner and our two children, cooking, listening to a good audio book, visiting the gym, doing DIY and the occasional bit of camping.
