October is a good time to look at how the final few months of the year are shaping up.

With Christmas approaching, many businesses will be thinking about upcoming expenses, staffing arrangements and how to manage the weeks ahead.

One thing worth reviewing now is your cash flow forecast.

Are there larger payments coming up? Will customers be paying later than usual over the festive period? Are there expenses that need to be accounted for before December?

Looking ahead now gives you time to prepare rather than leaving everything until the last minute.

A little forward planning in October can make the end of the year much easier to manage.

Now you're waiting...

Late payments can have a knock on effect across a business, particularly when you're relying on that income to cover your own upcoming costs.

A clear invoicing process, payment terms and consistent follow up can take some of the headache out of getting paid.

And making it as easy as possible for your customers to pay certainly doesn't hurt either!

After the summer holidays, juggling work, time off and everything else that comes with it, getting back into a normal routine can actually feel quite nice! and we think it’s a good time to give the business a little reset too.
