I think they're asking the wrong question.

A better question is:

How can I use AI to create more value, earn more income, and build more freedom?

Most people work hard for money. Very few learn how to make money work for them.

One of the ideas Brett Cranson and I discussed on the Financial Power Play Podcast is that governments often reward certain financial behaviors through credits, deductions, tax advantages, and investment incentives.

That's why building wealth isn't just about earning more. It's about understanding structure.

Income matters. Reducing debt matters. But eventually, there comes a point where your money should start carrying part of the load. Investing isn't about getting rich overnight.

It's about creating a system where your dollars continue working long after you've earned them.
The goal isn't simply to make money.

The goal is to build a financial life where your money, assets, and decisions are all working together toward the future you want.

Every now and then, something happens that reminds me why I love this work.

Recently, a client sent me a message thanking me for helping her and her family navigate taxes, financial decisions, and some complex planning challenges.

As a gesture of appreciation, she planted 10 trees in my honor.

Honestly, I was speechless.

Not because of the trees themselves, but because of what they represented.

To me, financial planning has never been just about numbers, investments, taxes, or insurance.
It has always been about people. Helping someone sleep better at night. Helping a family feel more secure. Helping clients make decisions with confidence instead of fear.

Helping people gain control of their financial lives so they can focus on what matters most.
Moments like this remind me that the greatest rewards in this profession often have nothing to do with money.

They come from knowing you've made a meaningful difference in someone's life.

Last week I stepped way outside my comfort zone.

For the first time, I joined a live YouTube interview conducted entirely in Spanish.

There were definitely moments where I had to think twice before answering, but that's part of growth.

A huge thank you to Santiago Espinosa González and Academia del Éxito for the invitation, the great conversation, and the opportunity to share my story, financial lessons, and perspectives on investing with a Spanish-speaking audience.

One of the things I've learned is that growth rarely happens inside your comfort zone.

Whether it's investing, business, finances, or learning a new language, progress often starts by being willing to look a little uncomfortable.

I'm grateful for the experience and proud that I said yes.

What started as a simple tax return turned into something much bigger.

A 92-year-old client came to me for help with her taxes.

While reviewing her return, I noticed she had missed a property tax credit available to Canadian seniors.

That alone put about $500 back in her pocket this year.

But instead of stopping there, I decided to look deeper.

After reviewing previous years, I discovered the same credit had been missed repeatedly.
The result?

Approximately $4,000 in refunds from credits she was legally entitled to but had never claimed.
That money was already hers.

This is why I believe financial planning and tax preparation should go beyond simply filing forms.

Sometimes the biggest opportunities are hidden in the details.
