Have you received a letter from the ATO about rental income?

The ATO is using new automated data-matching services to assess rental income for some taxpayers. Unfortunately, they aren't perfect yet.

If you receive one of these letters, call RTAG so we can help you ensure they've assessed your rental income properly.

The ATO's latest data-matching activities on rental income have seen some taxpayers receive letters with incorrect information.

The RBA is cutting interest rates by .25% to 4.10%, the first cut since November 2020.

Despite the cut, rates remain close to their post-2012 high in an attempt to combat the inflation caused by the drastic rate cuts used by the RBA to stimulate the economy during COVID lockdowns.

Rate cuts affect everyone differently, but this is generally good news for small businesses, who are more likely to have access to loans at reasonable rates when the RBA's cash rate is lower.

I just wanted to do a quick shout-out to the wonderful people at Victoria Hotel, Woodend who hosted my daughter's 21st on the weekend.

The service was outstanding! Emily and the team went above and beyond, even jumping in with a spare laptop for our slide show when our laptop decided to pack it in. The food was delicious, and plenty of it. The fire going, tunes pumping, mood lighting - what a great room for a function.

I highly recommend it for dinner or drinks too - great food, bevies, and service every time. Support local small businesses, especially the good ones, and this one is so good!!!
