At this year's NSW Cutlers Expo (previously the Sydney Knife Show), the Australian Knifemakers Guild will be holding Raffle where you could win some stunning prizes from Guild members exhibiting at the Expo!!!

1ST PRIZE is a Bruce Barnett of Barnett Custom Knives custom Stainless Trapper Slipjoint Folding Knife featuring stunning Mother of Pearl scales and a Black Mother of Pearl sheild Inlay.

2ND PRIZE is a Aidan De Fazio custom Utility Knife with a W2 blade featuring a bold hamon line and a dyed box elder burl handle.

Alongside many members exhibiting, the Australian Knifemakers Guild will have a table at the upcoming NSW Cutlers Expo in August promoting the Guild's role in supporting, developing and preserving the craft of knifemaking in Australia.

We will also have State Representatives attending who will be able to do both Probationary and Full Member Assessments. To book an assessment, send an email to [email protected] to organise a time.

The 2026 Melbourne Knife Show is looking to be a great event showcasing the work of members of the Australian Knifemakers Guild. Dedicated to preserving, developing and promoting the art of knifemaking, the show is set to featuring some of the top custom makers in the country.

Shawn McIntyre of forges world-class cutting tools out of his workshop based in Melbourne. An ABS accredited Mastersmith, Shawn's knives are carfted to the highest possible standards, from creating his own damascus, performing heat treatment in-house, and testing every blade, Shawn's knives are works of art, both in aesthetics and performance. A long serving member of the Australian Knifemakers Guild, and instrumental in bring you the Melbourne Knife Shows, we’re looking forward to seeing what Shawn brings to this year's show.
