Job Opening: SMSF Paraplanner
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SMSF Paraplanner with a strong background in Australian financialplanning to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in collaborating with our team to support our clients with their SMSF investments.
About the role
Conduct thorough research on SMSF regulations to ensure the most current information is utilized in financial planning. Stay updated on changes in SMSF legislation and industry trends, incorporating relevant updates into client strategies.
Evaluate the suitability of an SMSF structure for clients based on their financial situation and goals.
Coordinate with clients, superfunds, and insurance providers to oversee the third-party authority request process and conduct research for the preparation of the Statement of Advice (SOA).
Maintain accurate records of client communications, investment decisions, and compliance documentation for auditing purposes. Collaborate with licensee representatives to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Assist in the preparation of Statement of Advice (SOA) documents, ensuring they comply with regulatory standards and accurately reflect client objectives and risk profiles.
Maintain daily communication with clients through emails and calls, addressing their queries and providing updates on the SMSF setup process. Focus on building strong client relationships.
Collaborate with internal teams, such as accounting and legal departments, to ensure comprehensive support for SMSF clients.
Participate in professional development activities to enhance knowledge and skills in financial planning, SMSF compliance, and wealth management.
Actively contribute to the growth and success of the firm through proactive client engagement, networking, and business development initiatives.
About you
You must have:
At least 2 years of experience in a Financial Planning - related role in Australia
With AU experience in SMSF compliance and preparation of Statement of Advice
Must have a degree in Financial Management, Economics, or Accounting or any equivalent
Strong organizational and time management skills
Expertise in Financial Planning and Wealth Management
Has strong financial and analytical skills and high attention to details
Nice to have:
Knowledge of BGL is preferred but not a must
Excellent verbal and written skills
Self-motivated with a “Can do attitude” enthusiasm and the ability to work autonomously
You are an effective, clear communicator in all formats with great people skills
You are a self-motivated team player with strong problem-solving abilities and a solution-orientated mindset
You are practically always on time (or early) and strive to deliver ahead of deadlines
·You have excellent time management skills and can juggle multiple tasks while communicating honestly about your timelines, challenges, and questions
