This is what I'll be looking at - are there any that you can do?

A gentle reminder that EOFY doesn't have to be overwhelming. Tackle one item at a time:

☐ Reconcile all bank accounts
☐ Reconcile credit card accounts
☐ Match all receipts and bills
☐ Follow up unpaid customer invoices
☐ Review unpaid supplier bills
☐ Check payroll is up to date
☐ Confirm super has been processed
☐ Review employee leave balances
☐ Record any asset purchases (equipment, vehicles, computers)
☐ Review subscriptions and recurring expenses
☐ Ensure GST and BAS records are accurate
☐ Save copies of key EOFY reports
☐ Back up accounting records
☐ Send required information to your accountant

For Australian employers and bookkeepers, the biggest change to modern awards from 1 July 2026 is the Fair Work Commission's Annual Wage

Review decision:
Key changes from 1 July 2026 -

✅ Modern award minimum wage rates increase by 4.75% for most award-covered employees.

✅ National Minimum Wage increases to:
$26.44 per hour
$1,004.90 per week (38-hour week)

✅ The increase applies from the first full pay period commencing on or after 1 July 2026, not necessarily on 1 July itself
